Have you ever given these two words 5 minutes of thought? What do they mean, how do they affect me, do I take these words seriously? Every man, woman, and child has committed sin every day of their life. Whether it be by thought, word, or deed we have sinned. Do you think these same people give thought and seek forgiveness for their actions? What is sin, quite simply ‘ungodly acts’. Sin is easy, it’s secretly, no one will know. What is forgiveness, confession – remorse – restoration – renewal. Forgiveness requires some effort to resolve. Regardless of either act God knows all and sees all, ie.
righteousness vs unrighteousness, love vs sorrow, healthy vs unhealthy, kindness vs hatred etc. God did not create sin, He created holiness. Satan cannot take credit for sin, he cannot make us sin, he has no power to do so. Sin is created by man and no one else.
God did give us a free will choosing to obey or to disobey. Satan can only tempt us, he creates an environment that makes way for sin. Sinning will corrupt our life, continuously sinning will determine our circumstances and lose favor with God.
The Bible explains these two words and provides examples to the fullest means possible. John, 3:16-17.
For God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but the world through Him might be saved. Jesus took on the sins of the world by His death on the cross, every sin, past, present, future were nailed to that cross once and for all mankind. He redeemed us from sin and all unrighteousness.
Because of Jesus’s love, His mercy and grace guarantees us forgiveness. He brings us joy, kindness, peace, He assures us of hope, our anchor for God’s promises to be fulfilled.
God’s promise, Romans 10: 9-10. If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Rm 10:17. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Having confess these verses another promise from God is the Holy Spirit will come upon you, He will dwell within you and give you perfect peace and comfort. His presence will provide to you the strength to overcome sins temptations. John 15:26. But when the Holy Spirit comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father,
He will testify of me. Does it not make sense to turn from our sinful ways and turn to Jesus for His blessings in abundance. It is not enough to renounce sin and evil desires, we must actively live our lives for God, fight against sin and say no to temptations.
