Prosperity…

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
Far too many people today in our American society only recognize prosperity as $$$.
God has so many other blessings at His disposal that far exceed any monetary position of wealth. Have you considered a prosperous healthful body, mentally, physically, and spiritually? What about a prosperous environment with family and friends. Consider the blessings of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. In our society today, wouldn’t it be prosperous to enjoy personal freedoms with the fundamental liberties, the security of walking our streets without fear of harm. Let’s reflect on our right to worship, extend our faith, our trust, share the gospel message, show kindness and gratitude to others, quite simply put, allow for peace of mind and bring joy into our life as was originally intended. There are 5 types of prosperity, emotional, physical, mental, spiritual, and financial. One must establish a balance, maintain that balance to live life to its fullest.
Please understand that I’m not condemning money, after all God authorized the monetary system. With wealth comes responsibilities, we are to honor God with our success and finances. We are to share with others and return to God what is His.
Through-out the Bible God talks about the necessity of money. He gives us the ability to earn, to save, to invest, to spend, and  to tithe. We are not to steal or fraudulently acquire money by any dishonest means for selfish motives. Money is important in our homes, our society, in our world commerce, it provides for economic development and stability. We recognize we live in a very prosperous country filled with an abundance and we should not take this abundance for granted.
In summary, prosperity, money, and God’s laws must be maintained and kept within the proper perspective.
